On September 11 2009, the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) ratified the 802.11n standard for Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN). This is an important milestone for the WLAN industry, as this highly-anticipated standard provides significantly improved throughput and increased communications reliability compared to the previous generations (802.11a/b/g). Motorola welcomes this positive development.
Motorola has been working closely with the Wi-Fi Alliance to ensure that its products are prepared for Ratified 802.11n.
