Wavelink Corporation (www.wavelink.com) today announced support for managing Apple iOS* devices – such as iPhones* and iPads* – and Android* devices will be available at the end of Q1 2011. The Wavelink® Avalanche® management console and interface for these devices will be demonstrated at the National Retail Federation Conference in New York this week.
Wavelink Avalanche provides centralized configuration, deployment and management of mobile devices and wireless infrastructure across local and wide area networks. With its next update, the software will provide comprehensive support for Apple iOS and Android devices through the same central console as mobile devices based on Windows Mobile*, Windows CE*, Palm OS* and DOS operating systems along with embedded OS devices, printers, RFID readers, access points, switches and many other wireless devices.
